Zen Pinball 2 App Reviews

I am of a certain age that Pinball was a main staple of mine as a kid and my parents even bought me a full standup machine. ZEN is amazing. The graphics are very polished and the sound is good. Playability is fluid and without any glitches on my iMac, so generally I am very satisfied. However, I have only given this game 4-Stars due to the TERRIBLE In-App Purchases experience. I have purchased a couple extra tables, and while my overall satisfaction with them is good, I essentially bought them blind, and hoped for the best. There is really zero information of what you are buying. No detailed descriptions, no screenshots, no demo video to see the table in action. These improvements would make this game a solid 5-Star game and probably result in more purchases of extra tables. I had hoped through a couple updates that this would have improved, but sadly it has not, despite adding more tables for purchase. I would consider upping the rating to 5-Stars if Zen-Studios will improve the purchasing experience. I have personally held off purchasing any further tables until I can see what I am buying.

This is a responsive pin ball game. Loads of fun. well worth the…price. ha!

This is a phenomenal game! The free table is very fun and I also purchased the Family Guy and The Avengers tables, I highly reccomend both of those. The game is very responsive and haven’t had any problems with it at all. 5/5!

I found the lag in the flippers to be a problem that took away from my enjoyment of the game.

I have a later 2014 MacBook Pro, 2.8 GHz, full SSD, 8GB memory, 1.5GB VRam. IE - plenty of power. Both times I launched the game, nothing worked in the game’s menu. Deleted app.

Graphics are great, and there are a lot of different tables ( Family Guy, Star Wars, Marvel). First table is free, and each table after that is only $1.99 or $2.99. After getting several different tables, though, I realized Apple iTunes.com was charging me $4-$6 for each table! Well, I won’t be buying anything else from Apple. Who knows what I’ll be charged! The Google play store never charged more than it said it would. I see other games I’d like to buy, but I don’t want to be charged 15 bucks for a $4 game.

why can’t they offer epic quest pinball from zen

The controls do not work… the system is messed up in general.

First i saw that tne minimum high score is 10 thousand or millions i was so scared i thought, that i will be impossible for me to bite that score, but after a there days i scored with 197 million score can you believe it. And want try other tables and beat them with similar score. The Game is just awesome.

The game was completely unplayable as there is a 1-2 second lag from the time the flipper button is pressed to the time the flipper actually moves!!!

I successfully pruchased ne extra game but that’s it. Hangs. Wassup with that?

Let me say first of all that I love the free included table Sorcerer’s Lair, and have put a considerable amount of time into it. I do feel like some of the paid boards need to be tweaked, however. For instance, on the Bob’s Burgers table, I lose my ball a lot down the sides and it seems due to overpowered bumpers and maybe even too many of them. I often find myself in a situation where I’ll play for a few seconds, the bumpers drive my ball down the side, it auto-shoots, and the bumpers then bounce the ball down the side again without ever touching a flipper. “Get better at the game”, right? Maybe - but then again, maybe I shouldn’t be seeing this problem on a paid table, a problem that actually does interfere with my enjoyment of the game, considering a round rarely lasts more than a minute or two.

This has been going on for a week now. I try to get into the game, but then it takes me back to my home screen of my laptop. I tried other games like octagon or shadow fight 2 and they work perfectly fine. I’m not trying to brag, but my highscore is over thirteen million and I want to beat it. So please fix this problem soon or I won’t be able to play this game any more because I will delete it. Thank you for your cooperation.

Fun game! I can see someone put a lot of work into developing the graphics for each table.

Best pinball since Pinball Wizard on the Amiga in ancient times! Great graphics, sound, and very nice sub levels!

Only thing missing: connection to game center for sharing highscores.

For both the graphics and the gameplay, Id rate this as the best of the pinball games Ive played. The effects work especially is outstanding! The tables are fun to play, challenging and engaging. The only negative I can think of is that the dialogue tracks are repetitive, more so than on the other pinball games with dialogue that I have. Otherwise - if you like pinball get this!!

This review includes a few small complaints, but I still - without question - rate this a 5-star game. The Sorcerors Lair table that comes with for free is an absolute beauty. The art is mindblowing, both in terms of design and technical execution. The sound effects are fantastic and in terms of gameplay, I rank this as one of the best pinball tables Ive ever played -- both on the computer and in real life. Given how amazing the free game was, I went ahead and bought the Marvel Avengers table from the in-game store. I was disappointed that there was no way to test this game (or even seeing screenshots!) before purchasing, but since the free table was so good (and the price was cheap), I decided to go ahead with the purchase. While the art, sound, and production values of the Avengers table was equally as amazing, Im not personally a fan of the table gameplay design. Im more of a fan of "classic" gameplay styles and this table is definitely more modern/unique. I wish I had purchased a different table instead. That being said, the Avengers table is still very good -- and I cant complain about the price! I will definitely be purchasing more tables in the future -- though I wish there were more options than just more Marvel ones, since Id like to see more themes.
